is_session_active
True while the session is alive, even during a table reload.
Synchronous (returns directly)
Signature
is_session_active() -> boolWhat it does
Reports only whether the session is alive. Unlike is_ready(), it stays true while reload_info() refreshes tables, so it does not flicker.
Parameters
This function takes no parameters.
How to call it
Read it any time; ideal for a persistent connection indicator.
Returns: bool
